Traceability, Control, and Consistency of POMELLA® Raw Material
A large part of our Quality is knowing where our raw materials come from. Thanks to company-contracted and long-term farming, some of which are USDA organic certified, a paper trail follows all our pomegranate raw material from the orchards to the factory.
Because we know exactly where our pomegranate fruit comes from, we can assure that POMELLA® Extract is pesticide-free, and contains no synthetic fertilizers or genetic modification, and meets or exceeds California Prop-65 standards for heavy metals. Each batch of incoming pomegranate fruit is also verified by botanist identification and High-Performance Thin Layer Chromatography, which confirms the identity of raw materials past mere visual inspection.
Through full knowledge and control of the farming and harvesting, we can also assure that our pomegranates are harvested under fair trade practices.
But that is not all. Part of the POMELLA® research process involved finding the best cultivar, or cultivated variety, of pomegranate that offered the greatest health benefits. Through full control of the raw materials, we add an extra level of assurance that each batch of POMELLA® Extract is consistent with what was used in clinical studies.
Additionally, our emphasis on traceability and control of our pomegranates means that we are assured to have enough supply to meet demand. This is important particularly in a high-demand pomegranate market where shortages often exist, and alternative sources often do not meet what should be standard requirements for traceability.
